Meet the Founder

Alexandra Ruiz is a visionary leader and the driving force behind ARC (Architects of Revolutionary Change). With a mission to help leaders, public sector organizations, and businesses transform their operations, products, and services, Alexandra partners with clients to tackle the world’s most challenging social issues, maximizing their capacity and impact.

In addition to her role at ARC, Alexandra is the Founder and CEO of Poder Capital, a financial technology company focused on unlocking capital for Latinx entrepreneurs. She also co-founded Immigrant Advancement Matters (I.A.M.), a nonprofit organization providing services and resources to immigrants.

Alexandra’s extensive background includes over 15 years of experience in government, nonprofit management, and tech sectors. She spent five years working for the City of New York, where she developed the city's vaccination strategy for 12-17 year-olds and served as the Executive Director of Programs at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs. In this role, she led a team of 20+ experts in creating innovative service interventions and campaigns that benefited over 200,000 immigrant New Yorkers.

Her passion for social impact and equity is deeply rooted in her experience as a BIPOC immigrant from the Dominican Republic, coming from a long line of women dedicated to dismantling systems of oppression. Recognized as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Alexandra holds an MBA from Brown University and a Master’s in American History from CUNY Queens College.

Through her leadership at ARC, Alexandra continues to drive meaningful change, empowering leaders and organizations to achieve their social impact goals and create a more equitable world.
